Activity 1 - Logo Design
Creating a logo design isn’t just about creating a pretty visual. What you’re doing, or taking part in, is developing a brand and communicating a position. It makes sense, then, that the first step in creating a logo design should be to research these concepts. A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by companies, organisations and individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons), are composed of the name of the organisation (a logotype or wordmark) or can be a combination of both. A logo is a very important symbol of a company. Successful companies such as Apple, McDonald’s, Nike, Telstra and many others use a logo to achieve brand awareness and recognition within the general public. If you visit any website you will see a logo of some kind. It will represent the business, company or person responsible for the site.
