why you have chosen to outsource and where you have outsourced from.
Final Evaluation
What to evaluate?
How should you go about writing this? Break down your evaluation into 3 parts:
1. Major Project in relation to STATEMENT OF INTENT:
2. Major Project in relation to RESEARCH AND PLANNING:
3. Major Project in relation to DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT
Always discuss in 2 areas:
You do not need to include these as subheadings but it will help you to make sure you have covered all components and ensure you have reflected on all areas of your project.
How long? The length of your evaluation will vary from person to person, however, for this project I suggest the equivalent to 1x A3 page.
LanguageAvoid using words like “good” or “bad”. Instead try and further your language to describe the way you executed your project. Here are some words/verbs/phrases that may help you:
Go back and read your statement of Intent....
In relation to the ‘Statement of Intent’:
- Does the project match your original project description? Why/ why not?
- Does you project meet the criteria for success?
In relation to research conducted:
- Are the things you learnt from the research section evident in the project? Identify and
describe them?
In relation in planning and project design:
- Did the steps you planned to take (time plan/ budget/ designs/ design modifications) occur
as planned? Why/ why not?
- If you were to do this project again what would you do differently?
Project Quality:
- Identify what elements of the project design make it a quality project (ie. Techniques used,
finish, exporting, ease of use, and overall presentation of project).
Evidence of a Range of Skills
- Identify and describe where specific skills have been developed and applied throughout your
MP.
- Use Images to help
Degree of Difficulty
- Explain what elements of the project were demanding and required a high level of
knowledge and skills to be applied to attain the final result.
Evidence of Solutions to Problems in production:
- Using photos or sketches identify where problem solving was applied to achieve the finished
project. Explain how the problem was solved or overcome.
Use of Appropriate Materials, Components, Processes & Technologies
- Explain why the MATERIALS chosen and used in your MP were the most appropriate for this
project.
- Explain why the COMPONENTS chosen and used in your MP were the most appropriate for
this project.
- Explain why the PROCESSES chosen and used in your MP were the most appropriate for this
project.
- Explain why the TECHNOLOGIES chosen and used in your MP were the most appropriate for
this project.
